Why wedding photography?

One day, I was reflecting on my 2022 photography season and realized I wanted to narrow down my business to specialize in a particular type of photography. Sports photography, real estate, seniors, newborns, or maternity? In my small town of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, many talented photographers already specialize in these categories, but I didn’t know of any professional wedding photographers.

That’s when I bought a new notebook and drafted a list of goals to become a Minnesota wedding photographer. Couples deserve a photographer dedicated to capturing their big day. What steps would I need to take to become that photographer?

As I started writing down my goals, I realized that becoming a Minnesota wedding photographer wasn’t just about taking pictures—it was about creating an unforgettable experience for couples. From the moment the wedding planning process begins to celebrating their first anniversary, I want to provide more than just photographs; I want to tell their love story.

What truly inspired me to specialize in weddings was my passion for working with couples. There’s something magical about capturing such a significant day. Weddings are filled with loving embraces, candid moments, and details that deserve to be cherished forever. Being the photographer who preserves those memories is both an honor and a responsibility I take seriously.
